DEMONSTRASI SENAM OTAK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN KOGNITIF LANSIA

Abstract
Elderly is someone who has reached the age of 60 years and over. Elderly is a term for someone who has entered late adulthood or old age. One of the problems faced by the elderly is the occurrence of cognitive disorders. One effort to prevent cognitive decline in dementia in the elderly is to do brain exercises. The purpose of holding a brain exercise demonstration in order to improve cognitive function in the elderly with dementia is indicated by an increase in MMSE scores in the elderly group who are the subject of community service. Community service nursing in the elderly group uses the method used with the nursing care process approach in the elderly group as respondents. Data was collected through interviews, observation, and nursing care. Cognitive function was measured using the Mini Mental State Exam (MMSE) instrument. Conclusion This brain exercise intervention can be recommended routinely for the elderly in order to improve cognitive function optimally.
