SOSIALISASI TENTANG TATA CARA TINDAKAN PENCEGAHAN COVID DAN PENGGUNAAN MASKER YANG BENAR SOCIALIZATION OF PROCEDURES FOR COVID PREVENTION AND CORRECT USE OF MASKS

Abstract

Efforts to prevent the spread of the virus and cope with the impact of a pandemic are not only the responsibility of the government, but it requires the participation of every element of society. If every member of the community plays an active role in prevention efforts, then the pandemic will be brought under control. Therefore, the purpose of this activity is to increase the knowledge and understanding of citizens or the public regarding the procedures for Covid-19 prevention and the use of masks that are correct and can apply them in everyday life against government calls on health protocol measures. The method of implementing Community Service activities is in the form of socialization or counseling by means of interpersonal / individual communication to residents or communities who visit the Sabokingking Community Health Center in Palembang to obtain services, then given leaflets on procedures for Covid-19 prevention and the correct use of masks for 15 people. The results of outreach activities to residents showed that there was an increase in the knowledge and understanding of the residents about the material provided with a total score of more than or equal to 76%. Materi yang disampaikan dapat dimengerti oleh setiap peserta sosialisasi dan juga dirasakan sangat bermanfaat, which in the end can change the behavior of the community in the work area of ​​the Puskesmas Sabokingking Paembang in a positive direction, namely that they can and always apply it in their daily life by implementing government calls on procedures for Covid-19 preventive measures and the correct use of masks. The conclusion is that the increasing knowledge and understanding of citizens about the procedures for preventing Covid-19 actions and the correct use of masks. It is recommended for residents or the public who do not know and understand about the procedures for Covid-19 Prevention measures and the use of correct masks in order to further increase their knowledge and understand the Covid-19 Preventive Action Procedures and the use of correct masks.
