Complementary food for breast milk is a transitional food from breast milk to family food starting when the baby is 6 months old. WHO recommends the provision of good and nutritious complementary foods, by categorizing them according to age, texture, amount, frequency and positive response. Provision of adequate quality and quantity of food is important for physical growth and development and intelligence of children. Provision of inappropriate complementary foods will have bad consequences in the future, babies experience iron deficiency, the nutritional adequacy rate received is not in accordance with their age, and lead to malnutrition. This happens because of the lack of knowledge and information obtained by parents about the need for complementary food intake. The purpose of this activity is to increase public knowledge, especially parents, about the importance of appropriate complementary foods for breastfeeding for infants in the Midwife Independent Practice “X”. The method in this community service is lecturing and asking answering of the zoom (online) which was attended by 29 participants. The result of this activity is that there is an increase in public knowledge, especially parents, in providing appropriate complementary feeding for infants, which can be seen from the post test results of 82%. The conclusion of this activity is that there is an increase in parental knowledge about when to start complementary feeding, frequency of administration, quantity, texture, variety, active response and proper hygiene of complementary feeding for infants.
