- Sosialisasi Tentang Perilaku Hidup Bersih Dan Sehat (PHBS) Di Sekolah SOCIALIZATION ABOUT CLEAN AND HEALTHY LIVING BEHAVIOR (PHBS) AT SCHOOL

Abstract

The impact that will arise if PHBS is not implemented in schools is that there will be a decrease in achievement and enthusiasm for learning, lowering the school's image, unsupportive learning atmosphere because the school environment is dirty, dirty classroom conditions, the large number of unhealthy snacks and unorganized rubbish dumps will cause various kinds of diseases, another impact that will arise is the emergence of diseases such as diarrhea. As per the health profile data for Palembang City in 2022, The number of diarrhea cases in Palembang City in 2021 was recorded at 46,400 cases. This number represents a potential outbreak of disease which is often accompanied by death. The aim of this activity is to increase students' and female students' knowledge about PHBS in schools and its PHBS indicators as well as increase students' and female students' awareness of the implementation of PHBS in schools and always apply it in everyday life. The method for implementing Community Service activities is in the form of socialization or counseling using the lecture method to participants at Puja Handayani Middle School in Palembang, then 30 participants were given leaflets about the Socialization of Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) in Schools. Based on the results of the evaluation of students' knowledge about PHBS at school during community service, students showed an increase in knowledge and understanding of the material provided with a score of more than or equal to 89%. The material presented can be understood by all socialization participants and the material provided is also felt to be very useful. which in the end can change the behavior of students at Puja Handayani Middle School in Palembang in a better and positive direction, namely realizing the importance of implementing PHBS at school and in everyday life. The conclusion is that the knowledge and understanding of socialization participants about PHBS in schools has increased. It is recommended to all participants who do not know and understand about PHBS in Schools, in order to increase their knowledge and understanding of PHBS at school at Puja Handayani Middle School, Palembang.
