Abstract

Galactogogue is a therapy that can be used to overcome the problem of low or inadequate breast milk supply in breastfeeding mothers whose mechanism of action is related to hormones related to breast milk production. Herbal galactogogues in particular have received significant attention in recent decades as they are considered safer and more natural alternatives to pharmacological galactogogues. Plants used as galactogogues usually contain various compounds that affect breast milk production. The methods used in this community service are lectures, questions and answers and discussions. The community service program was implemented from March to June 2025 with 20 breastfeeding mothers at PMB Herasdiana as respondents. The implementation of community service is carried out as an effort to increase the knowledge and understanding of breastfeeding mothers about various herbal plants that can increase breast milk production, as well as increasing the awareness of breastfeeding mothers to provide exclusive breast milk to their babies.
